Our USA 2017 trip starts next week!

Yes, it's only ten more sleeps before we leave on our USA trip this year. Our trip starts in Gloster Mississippi at cousin Donnie's place where the coach has been stored over winter. Basically we head west across the southern deserts and parts of the Colorado plateau. Eventually we will end up on the West Coast where we will be catching up with our California based family.

The whole trip, not including any excursions on the side, is just on 4000 miles (about 6500 klm). We have twelve weeks to complete it all before we head back to NZ.

Along the way we have plans to revisit the most notable places from our trip in 2010, mainly the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, Zion Canyon and Yosemite - can't wait!

There are some new things we plan to do - including a trip into Mexico (will probably leave the coach on American soil and bus across the border - don't want to invalidate our insurance)! Also we want to take a good look around Austin - the Texas Capital - as we haven't been to that area before. And we want to spend some time in Sante Fe as we have only passed-thru on previous occasions. Of course if anyone has any "you must do this" recommendations for places along our route - then we would welcome those.
